Approved Dance Centres are independent schools and vocational colleges that have been approved by the ISTD to deliver the regulated teaching qualifications that form the ISTD’s initial teacher training.

A strictly regulated approval process means that all Approved Dance Centres (ADCs) meet the highest industry standards and assures student teachers wishing to gain the ISTD’s Level 3 Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) and Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) that their teaching techniques and facilities are appropriate and up to date, and their teachers suitably trained and qualified.

With courses offered on a full-time as well as part-time basis and even distance learning courses available, there are plenty of flexible study options to suit individual needs.

The ISTD has over 180 ADCs across the UK and Europe.
